Client: Oakhurst Blinds
Oakhurst Blinds is a conservatory blinds specialist, manufacturing, selling and fitting pleated conservatory blinds to a well known department store retailer in the UK, plus interior design shops and direct marketing through the web.
Having already designed the new logo for Oakhurst we were asked to design new inserts that would fit into existing files containing fabric samples. The inserts were to act as a brochure detailing the ethos of Oakhurst as well as incorporate an indicative price guide with line drawings outlining examples of various options available. Of course being a supplier of high end product Oakhurst not only had to have a classy look and feel but it also had to match the existing files in which the inserts were to be placed.
The new folder inserts needed to fit with existing sample files. Taking these sample files we created inserts that were clean, and highly polished which worked well with the existing materials. Understanding that these needed to work with the quality of the retailer stockist brand and the high end Oakhurst product, new line drawings and extended image discussion was vital as well as the incorporation of the new Oakhurst Brand. The production of the inserts had to match the existing stock and finish of the sample files. The end result was a clean and image focussed product.

We decided we needed to re-vamp our marketing and presentation to our customers by re-designing our company logo and commissioning a new fabric presentation book and were recommended Addison Design for the task of designing our inserts for the book and Eco Print for the printing.
We were very specific with our brief to Addison Design in that the inserts had to have a harmonious integration with the fabric book and have a glossy edge to them to provide the customer with an overall impression that they were dealing with a company who were positioned at the top end of the market who provided quality products at sensible prices. Two inserts were produced, one giving an overview of our company and its main selling points, and the other insert giving an overview on pricing. Good photography is important and although we were limited in the photographs we had available, Addison design were able to showcase our products on the inserts in the best possible way.
We also gave Addison Design very short time constraints for producing the inserts. The brief was that the design and printing were to be completed within 6 weeks. Once we approved the final design’s, printed inserts were produced to a high quality finish to the standards we asked for. We were delighted with the high quality, creative design work by Graham at Addison Design and printing by James at Eco Print. Both Graham and James are professional and provide high quality, creative work at reasonable pricing and we would not hesitate to use Addison design and Eco Print again.
